Military Culture Centers

As part of the mission to ensure we are culture ready, each of the military services has its own Culture Center. Some sites are restricted to military only access, but you can find out more with the links below:

Army's TRADOC Culture Center (TCC)

The TRADOC Culture Center (TCC) provides cross-cultural competency and region-specific education and training for the General Purpose Force in all three learning domains.  The TCC is widely recognized throughout DoD as a leader in the culture community of practice. TCC partners aggressively with organizations across the DoD; sharing curricula and best practices; building capability and capacity across the joint force, as well as with the greater DoD culture community of interest.

Navy's Center for Language, Regional Expertise and Culture (CLREC)

The Center for Language, Regional Expertise and Culture (CLREC), coordinates language, cultural, and regional familiarization training across the Navy.

Air Force Culture and Language Center (AFCLC) (public)

Air Force Culture and Language Center (AFCLC)

The Air Force Culture and Language Center creates and executes language, region and cultural learning programs for Total Force Airmen, and provides the Service with the subject matter expertise required to institutionalize these efforts. The Air Force Culture and Language Center was founded at Air University in April 2006, embracing the Air Force Chief of Staff’s intention to improve Airmen’s cross-cultural competence. In April 2007, the Air Force further demonstrated its commitment to culture learning by selecting cross-cultural competence as the centerpiece of Air University’s re-accreditation efforts. In December 2007, the Center was made responsible for culture and language training, as well as education, across the entire Air Force. Air University’s Spaatz Center for Officer Education hosts the AFCLC.

Marine Corps Center for Advanced Operational Culture Learning (CAOCL)

CAOCL serves as the central Marine Corps agency for operational culture and language familiarization training programs and issues within the DOTMLPF process in order to synchronize and provide for training and education requirements.

Additionally, there are many organizations working at various levels to ensure that our personnel and international counterparts are ready for cross cultural missions:
